LR 001 - CARAFE (2016)
This three parts kit for filtrating water is directly inspired from Nasa’s space mission Apollo 11, the first time a man step a foot on the lunar surface.
It is influenced in its shape and color, but also in its materials, as the filter is made from a volcanic stone (which chemical composition is very close to the moon soil). The volcanic stone’s very porous structure has millions of tiny pores between the carbon atoms. This increases its surface, and allows it to absorb great amounts of certain chemicals that are then trapped in the stone. Chemicals that are not attracted to carbon
You can either filter water into a glass by placing it under the tripod, right below the moon rock. Or you can place the filter over the carafe and have fresh water for everyone around the table.
